Morning Preparations
The day starts early at 6:00 AM when I arrive at our service headquarters in Nevada City. After checking the day’s schedule and loading up the service van with essential parts and tools, I review the morning’s maintenance calls while enjoying my morning coffee.
First Service Calls
By 7:30 AM, I’m headed to my first appointment in Grass Valley. Winter mornings in Northern California can be chilly, and today’s schedule includes several heating system maintenance calls. Each home presents its unique challenges, but our thorough training ensures we’re prepared for anything.
What A Typical Day Includes:
- Performing preventive maintenance checks
- Diagnosing system issues
- Installing new HVAC components
- Educating homeowners about system care
- Responding to emergency service calls
Afternoon Activities
Lunch break usually happens around 1:00 PM, often between calls in Auburn or Penn Valley. The afternoon schedule typically involves more complex installations or repairs. Today includes installing a new energy-efficient heating system in Alta Sierra.
Evening Wrap-Up
As the day winds down, I ensure all paperwork is complete and the van is restocked for tomorrow. Customer satisfaction is our priority, and knowing we’ve helped maintain comfortable homes throughout our service area makes the long days worthwhile.
The best part of working in HVAC services is the variety each day brings and the gratitude from customers when their systems are running smoothly again. Whether it’s a scorching summer day or a freezing winter morning, we’re here to keep our community comfortable.
Every day presents new opportunities to serve our neighbors across Nevada County and beyond, and that’s what makes this job so rewarding.
