Morning Prep – 6:30 AM
The day starts early in central Florida, even when there’s a winter chill in the air. After reviewing the day’s schedule of heating system appointments, I load up the service van with essential parts and diagnostic equipment.
First Call – 8:00 AM
Our first stop takes us to Winter Haven, where a family’s furnace isn’t producing enough heat. These Florida homes aren’t built for extreme cold, so when temperatures drop, every heating issue becomes urgent. After a thorough inspection, I discover and replace a worn-out blower motor.
Mid-Morning Service – 10:30 AM
Heading to Lake Wales, we perform a routine maintenance check on a heating system. These preventive services are crucial for keeping systems running efficiently during our brief but noticeable cold spells. I clean the components, check connections, and ensure everything’s operating at peak performance.
Lunch Break – 12:30 PM
A quick stop for lunch gives me time to check messages and adjust the afternoon schedule. Working at Ridge Energy Savers means being flexible to accommodate emergency calls, especially during cold snaps.
Afternoon Tasks
The afternoon includes:
– Installing a new heating system in Bartow
– Performing a furnace repair in Cypress Gardens
– Conducting a consultation for replacement options in Haines City
End of Day – 5:30 PM
Before heading home, I complete service documentation and prepare for tomorrow’s appointments. There’s satisfaction in knowing local families will stay warm tonight because of our work.
Living in Florida means most people think about cooling rather than heating, but those chilly winter nights remind us why proper heating system maintenance matters. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our communities stay comfortable year-round.
